ALARM FIRECRACKERS - "ALFIRE" -
The "ALFIRE" is normally triggered by a three-pronged pressure fuse. (3PF)
Could be also trigged by a 3 mt nylon cable.
When triggered, the firecracker functioned in two stages (see diagram).
1. First, the firecracker is fired 0.9 to 1.5 meters (3 to 5 ft) upwards by a small propellant charge.
2. Approximately a half-second later, the main charge detonated at the optimum height , with no risk to severely injure anyone in the immediate area.
3. The main charge of the firecracker is surrounded by roughly 500 grams of yellow soft powder elements.
These became soft powder that sprayed horizontally from the firecracker at high velocity generating a yellow-cloud marking the area of intrusion.
4. The main charge of the firecracker could be surrounded also by a power able to generate a flash light and also a red smoke signal.
The time between triggering and ignition of the propelling charge varied between 3.9 and 4.5 seconds, depending on the age and condition of the firecracker.
The ALFIRE yellow cloud is operational within 10 meters (33 ft) and 30 meters (100 ft)
The ALFIRE firecracker would detonate whether the trigger was released or not.
Standing still or attempting to run from the ALFIRE would be equally dangerous by activating the charge.

UTILISATION
Protection of borders of agricultural properties, real estate, preventing intrusions in industrial areas, airports, railway stations and depots , etc.
Normally the firecracker is installed in areas where the passage of large animals is not possible .
INSTALLATION
The best positioning is close to the boundary walls, safety nets, near boundary elements.
The presence of firecrackers must/could be marked with an appropriate warning sign of danger in relation to local rules.
The installation of firecrackers is an active integration to surveillance systems already installed and is able to
represent an effective deterrent to any type of intrusion.
